Project title: Private Edge Computing
Project description: A predicted trend for 5G applications is that large distributed computations will move closer to the edge of the wireless network. This imposes new challenges on the resource allocation compared to classical distributed computation due to the wireless nature of the network. Furthermore, how to guarantee various degrees of privacy of sensitive data which should be computed on is still an open problem. I use methods from information theory to develop a scheme that guarantees privacy of the user’s data and utilizes techniques to reduce the communication load on the wireless channel.
