Project title: New properties of DES and linear cryptanalysis of lightweight cipher with multiple linear approximations
Project description: Cryptography is the practice and study of techniques for securing electronic communication (e.g. ATM cards, eCommerce, e-mail) from evil third parties (adversaries). Knowledge about weaknesses in existing algorithms are essential for ensuring the strength of future algorithms. We study properties newly found in the DES algorithm. We will also study improvements of multidimensional linear cryptanalysis and do a security analysis of a lightweight cryptography algorithm.
