Ph.D. started in: 2018
Expected year of graduation: 2022
COINS consortium member: Norwegian University of Science and Technology
Supervised by: Colin Boyd, Kristian Gjøsteen
Research area: Cryptography
Project title: Post-Quantum Key Exchanges
Project description: Key exchanges are an important building block of our internet: they are often the first interaction between two parties in order to establish a secure connection. Most of the key exchange mechanisms we use today are, however, at risk of being broken by a quantum computer because the mathematical problems they are built on are easy to break using such a machine. In this project we investigate using different mathematical foundations for key exchanges, and their consequences for security and usability.

Events attended with COINS funding:
  1. Norsk Kryptoseminar 2020, Kjeller, Norway, 2020
  2. COINS PhD student seminar 2020, Zoom, Zoom, 2020
  3. COINS Finse winter school, Finse, Norway, 2019
  4. EUROCRYPT 2019, Darmstadt, Germany, 2019
  5. Summer school: “Euclidean lattices: theory and applications”, Kaliningrad, Russia, 2019
