Ph.D. started in: 2016
Expected year of graduation: 2019
COINS consortium member: University of Bergen
Supervised by: Tor Helleseth, Sondre Rønjom
Links: Cristin
Research area: Cryptography
Project title: Cryptanalysis of Symmetric Cryptographic Primitives
Project description: The subject of this thesis is the study of different cryptanalysis techniques for symmetric cryptographic primitives. This research wants to concentrate on low data complexity cryptanalysis where an adversary knows a very small numbers of Plaintext/Cipher text pairs . Slide attacks, subspace attacks and side channel attacks are examples of attacks in this approach.
