Project title: Cyber-physical security of power plants within the smart grid
Project description: The overall objective of this research is to contribute to improving the security of the power plant systems within
the smart grid, seen as vital CPSs, by proposing a risk management framework, and by delivering security
requirements through identifying, assessing and managing security risks of the system when considering its
combined cyber-physical features. This overall objective breaks down into the following sub-objectives:
• Identify combined cyber and physical security challenges in the power plant systems of the smart grid
viewed as CPSs
• Develop and use modeling approaches appropriate to address the challenges identified above
• Develop and evaluate a risk management framework for the power plant systems in the smart grid
